About Us

We are professionals who organize funeral arrangements either in advance, or in the occurrence of a lost loved one. Our experience shows that it is more comfortable for your family to review one's prior wishes than to try to make difficult decisions after a death in your family. The Armstrong Funeral Home is now a privately owned family business, owned by Ryan Torkos and his family; his wife April Torkos (nee Bosetti), his daughter Sydney and son Ethan, and continues to serve all faiths with kindness, dignity and respect.  With help from our funeral directors and and funeral director assistants, we are able to support our local community in one of life's most difficult times by providing a familiar face that you can trust. Our support staff  consists of local residents with whom you may attend church with, worked together, went to school with or share a coffee and or conversation from time to time. We pride ourselves in having one of the nicest and largest establishments in  the Niagara Region.  Our one floor establishment offers easy accessibility for wheel chairs and all people, and offers large visitation rooms, a chapel with formal pews that seats over 150 people and have spacious overflow rooms with television screens and sound to view the funeral when our chapel is at full capacity. Our entire facility has Wi-Fi capability that is accessible to all, and if family or friends are unable to attend the chapel service, our families now have the ability to watch the chapel service in real time, or download or record the chapel service for viewing when convenient for them. This feature can be password protected for privacy and implements a picture at 1080p HD resolution at 30 feet per second. We have the largest and most functional funeral home in Port Colborne that has spacious hallways which can provide comfort and accessibility.
