Our Dad went to the great fishing hole in the sky on May 20th, 2018. Bill passed away at the age of 91 with his loving daughter MayBeth at his side. Predeceased by his wife Yvonne and son Micheal. Survived by his loving family; son Joe, daughters MayBeth, Cheryl Geremia (John), Judy and Fred Borg, sister Esther Bright, grandchildren Lori Anne, Joshua, Nathan, Sara, Heather, Shauna, Elizabeth, Cheryl and great-grandchildren Elora, Micheal, Ivan, Molly and Lucas.
Bill was happiest when he was fishing. A lover of nature, he spent many, many years hiking the Niagara Gorge to fish the Whirlpool and at Queenston dock. Bill worked at Atlas Steels until 1985. His co-workers, especially Sam, described him as the strongest man they ever knew. After so many years of hard work, he was one of the fortunate people that got to enjoy 33 great years of retirement.
In the infamous words of Wild Bill- “never felt worse or had less money”.
Enjoy that great fishing hole in the sky Dad, fish on!
